Groups & Private Dining at Kinyōbi

Kinyōbi is built for gathering. From a long table with eight friends to a full buyout with vinyl playing late into the night, the restaurant flexes around the occasion without losing what makes it Kinyōbi: warm oak interiors, modern Japanese cooking, and sound that holds a room together.

We host birthdays, company dinners, receptions, weddings and the kind of evenings that don’t fit a category. Two private formats, one shared idea: food, sound and a space designed for people to stay a little longer than planned.

(semi) Private Dining

For groups of eight or more, Kinyōbi serves a seasonal group menu designed to be shared family-style – a relaxed way to taste a little of everything the kitchen does well. Two options, both built around the same Japanese craft that defines the à la carte:

Kinyōbi Classics – 565 DKK per person

or

Kinyōbi Omakase – 825 DKK per person

(see the menus below)

Wine and sake pairings are available for both menus, chosen to sit naturally with the food. Let us know in advance about any allergies or dietary requirements – guests with celiac disease should note that soy sauce runs through much of the menu, so options will be limited.

Private dining works for company dinners, birthdays, anniversaries, or any occasion that calls for a defined table and a clear arc to the meal.

Buyout

For larger gatherings – or groups who want the room entirely to themselves – Kinyōbi is available for full buyout. The restaurant seats 93 plus 8 at the kitchen counter, with an additional 30 in the bar lounge and 8 along the bar. The layout can be adjusted to suit the evening, whether that’s a seated dinner, a standing reception with canapés, or something in between.

Buyouts are typically built around our shared set menu, with wine or sake packages to match. If you have a different format in mind, the kitchen team is happy to design something specific – tell us what you’re imagining and we’ll start the conversation.

The vinyl DJ booth is part of the room. From Thursday to Saturday a curated music programme is already in place, and on other nights a DJ can be added to the evening through music@kinyobi.dk. Open bar can be arranged at a per-person hourly rate.

Minimum spend depends on the day of the week. If you haven’t been to Kinyōbi before, we recommend booking a site visit so you can see the room and we can talk through what works best for your group.
